For brands and agencies

Advertise on Unstar.app

We analyze what users complain about in App Store and Google Play reviews. Our readers arrive mid-decision: comparing apps, checking whether one is trustworthy, or looking for something better. Sponsored placements put your product in front of them, clearly labeled and permanently.

Rankings and verdicts are not for sale. That applies to sponsors too.

Traffic is consumer-side and English-majority, with the largest share from the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. Ask us for the current traffic breakdown by country and category.

Two formats

Both are labeled as sponsored on the page itself, and both link out with rel="sponsored".

Format 1

Sponsored section in an existing article

A clearly labeled block inside an article that already ranks for your category, placed after the editorial content. Your own copy, your own call to action, and a link to your site.

Best when a relevant ranked comparison already exists and you want to reach readers who are actively choosing between apps.

Format 2

Standalone sponsored review

A dedicated page about your product, written with your input and labeled as sponsored. It gets the same internal linking, structured data, and 16 language versions as any other article on the site.

Best when you want a page you can link to from your own channels and that keeps working in search over time.

What every placement includes

  • Permanent placement. No expiry date and no renewal fee.
  • Live on all 16 language versions of the page.
  • Your own copy and your own call to action, used as you wrote them.
  • One revision round after publication.
  • Usually live within two business days of approval.

What is never for sale

  • Rankings and verdicts. Placements sit beside the editorial content, never inside it.
  • Our review data. We do not remove complaint sections, quotes, or ratings from a page.
  • Plain dofollow links. Every paid link carries rel="sponsored", per Google policy.
  • Coverage of a product we cannot verify, or of a category we do not cover.

This is not a negotiating position, it is what keeps the pages worth advertising on. See our terms of use for the full editorial policy.

How it works

1

Email us

Tell us the product, the target URL, and which format you have in mind.

2

We check the fit

We confirm the product is real and active and that we have a relevant page. If we do not, we say so.

3

You pay by card

We send a checkout link. No invoicing back and forth, no wire transfer unless you need one.

4

It goes live

We publish, verify every language version, and send you the URL.

Questions we get every time

Do you sell dofollow links?

No. Every paid link on this site carries rel="sponsored", which is what Google asks publishers to do. If a plain dofollow link is a requirement on your side, we are not the right site for you.

Can we choose which article the placement goes in?

Yes, as long as the article is topically relevant to the product. If you are not sure which page fits, tell us the product and we will suggest the strongest match.

Can you change what your reviews say about our app?

No. App pages, ratings, and complaint summaries are generated from public App Store and Google Play data and are not editable by sponsors. A placement is an addition to a page, never a rewrite of one.

How much does it cost?

Rates depend on the format and the category. Email us with the product and target URL and we will send the current rate card and availability.

How long does the placement stay live?

Indefinitely. Placements are a one-time purchase, they do not expire, and there is no renewal invoice.

Do you accept guest posts or link exchanges?

No. We only publish content we write or content that is clearly labeled as sponsored. We do not run guest post submissions, link exchanges, or link inserts on behalf of third-party sites.

Tell us what you are launching

Send the product, the target URL, and the format you want. If we do not have a page that fits, we will tell you rather than sell you a placement that will not perform.

Are you an app developer rather than a brand? We also sell a homepage sponsorship that features your app site-wide, and a Pro plan for monitoring your own reviews.
