Domino's App Deals Not Working: 462 Reviews (2026)

By Unstar · Editorial Team

Domino's rates 4.59 on Google Play. We read 462 recent 1-3 star reviews: 31.8% are about deals, points and rewards the app will not let you apply.

There is a specific kind of app failure that costs you money rather than time. This is one.

Repeated issues with no resolve. rewards can only be redeemed in the app. However any attempt to use them results in a technical error. all rewards have one week expiration, and customer support does not respond in a timely manner to fix the issue. I have lost out on three rewards and counting due to this issue with no help from support or my local store. Example, open app, profiles there, everything- open rewards, Hmmm "offers still baking" try codes sent in emails, Invalid.

Read that reviewer's chain again, because every link in it is doing work. The rewards exist. They can only be spent in the app. The app throws an error when they are spent. They expire in a week. Support does not answer within a week. The reward is gone, and nothing anywhere recorded that anything went wrong.

We read 462 recent 1-3 star reviews of the Domino's Pizza USA app. 147 of them, 31.8%, are about deals, coupons, points or rewards, and the reason that cluster is the largest is not that people love complaining about loyalty programs. It is that a technical failure in this app converts directly into a higher bill.

How We Counted

We pulled the newest Google Play reviews for the US storefront and kept the 1-3 star reviews with enough text to categorize, roughly 120 characters or more. That left 462 reviews posted between 2 June and 12 August 2026, spread across 69 separate days with no quiet week in the window. The star breakdown: 342 one-star, 71 two-star, 49 three-star.

We also pulled the App Store reviews for the same app, which returned 35 substantive 1-3 star reviews, and ran a separate Spanish-language pass over Google Play. Neither set is included in the 462. We used them for one purpose, which is the purpose second data sets are actually good for: checking whether the American English complaints reproduce somewhere the American English reviewers are not reading. They do.

Two ratings for context. On Google Play the app shows 4.59 stars from 2,392,271 ratings. On the App Store, 4.78 from 4,981,029 ratings. Both are lifetime averages accumulated since 2012, which is why neither reflects what the last ten weeks look like.

The Error Has a Name, and People Keep Writing It Down

23 reviews in the set quote a specific error string, and the strings are consistent enough to be worth listing, because a reproducible message is the difference between a mood and a defect:

Can't place any orders. Delivery? Experiencing an issue. Carryout? Every store selected says One Or More Resources Not Found.

The app has me logged in but I can't access my rewards nor the deals. I get a pink error message. "Sorry there seems to be a technical problem. Please try again."

Easily the best rewards and deals of any pizza app. UI is decent but the app has frequent bugs. They've lost so much business from me due to 50% of the time you try to apply a deal, you get a "resources missing" or "your deals are still baking" error message.

"One or more resources not found" and "your deals are still baking" are not generic crash text. They are the app reporting that a specific piece of server-side content, a store's menu or a promotion's definition, did not load. That distinction matters for what you can do about it, and we come back to it in the steps.

The most precise report in the set gives the failure a time of day:

the app frequently has "technical errors" or "one or more resources not found" around lunch time when I am trying to order, preventing me from using deals or adding anything to the cart.

Another gives it a duration:

DAY 5 AND APP IS STILL DOWN. Any where I click on app it says were experiencing technical difficulties. please call store direct. unfortunately if I call store direct I don't get points put on my app for free pizza. I called Domino's customer service wait you cant call. it's email only. they pushed the problem to the store to fix

Where It Started

The version data puts a date on this. Grouping the 462 reviews by the app build they were written on gives a clean distribution across the 13.x line: 13.5.0 (28 reviews), 13.6.0 (106), 13.7.0 (96), 13.8.0 (55), 13.8.1 (61) and 13.9.0 (36).

The peak is 13.6.0, and reviewers on that build say what happened to it:

since update mid-June '26, it won't let me order (from an address I've used HUNDREDS of times). I keep getting pop-ups saying "experiencing technical difficulties", "one or more resources cannot be found" & more. end result: cannot order pizza via this app. going to call another local place instead.

The app used to work, but lately it does not at all. Trying to place a carryout order at any store results in getting a "One or more resources were not found" error. Reinstalling fixes it once then it breaks again.

106 reviews mention an update, a redesign or an overhaul, which is 22.9% of the whole set. Four builds have shipped since 13.6.0 and the complaint rate has not returned to anything like a baseline.

The App Store set confirms the same thing from the other platform, and dates it earlier:

New big update doesn’t work on my iPhone 17 for some reason. Everytime I go to location it says temporary issue.. never had this issue before update. Tried updating and uninstalling and no fix. as of June 2026 app still doesn’t work

App never works anymore after last major update. From not letting me log in, to saying that they don’t deliver to me even though that’s not the case. For a visual overhaul, y’all really broke the whole app for no reason. Guess you don’t want my money because I’m not calling the store.

Note the detail in that second quote. "Reinstalling fixes it once then it breaks again" is an unusually diagnostic sentence from a customer. An error that clears on reinstall and returns is cached state, not a corrupt install, which is why the fix does not stick.

The Chain That Costs Money

Here is the finding, and it is a chain rather than a bug. Each link is boring on its own.

ClusterReviewsShare
Deals, coupons, points and rewards14731.8%
Update, redesign or overhaul named10622.9%
Store selection and delivery area9019.5%

Order will not submit at checkout4810.4%
Payment methods and cards337.1%
Crashes, freezing and slowness378.0%
Prices hidden or wrong296.3%

The chain runs like this. Domino's runs app-exclusive deals. The app errors when loading store resources, which is where deals live. The customer, wanting dinner, calls the store instead. The phone order cannot use the app-only deal, and it does not earn points. So a failure in the app's content loader takes money out of the customer's pocket twice, once at the register and once in the loyalty balance, and the customer is the only party who records it.

30 reviews describe giving up and calling the store or going in person. 12 of those explicitly note losing the deal, the points or both by doing so.

For the past few weeks, when trying to order via the app to get the app ONLY deals, it displays 'Having technical difficulties please call local restaurant' if you order via phone or in person, you cannot get the deals. So the app only deals are a SCAM.

I've had this app for over a year and it's CONSTANTLY having technical difficulties resulting in having to call the store instead which leads to losing out on points and not getting the online deals. Points are only earned per order not based on how much you spend. I find that it's just easier to call the store instead of using the app.

That second reviewer has quietly done the arithmetic and left. When an app's only advantage over the phone is a discount it cannot reliably apply, the app has no advantage over the phone.

The Expiry Clock

The reason this does not average out over time is that the rewards have deadlines and the errors do not.

EDIT: The recent $5 off deal seems to be bugged. I have three such coupons, but none seem to be able to be applicable to my cart. They're still going down in expiration, but there is always a technical problem, according to the app, when I try to apply any of them. But hey, they'll still take my money!

a bug in the app im ordering pizza it gave me a free 2 topping large pizza but when i click to redeem it it says it has expired it doesnt expire to the 30 of june

Three coupons visibly counting down while the redemption path errors is not the same as a coupon that went unused. The customer did try. The system recorded no attempt.

A second redemption gate appears in the set and blocks people even when the deals load:

Currently, rewards program is a lie. You need a verification code delivered to your email to redeem any rewards. It wont send. I've seen a bunch of people online have the same experience

69 reviews, 14.9%, are about sign-in, passwords or verification codes, and a large share of those describe the reset loop rather than a forgotten password: a code that arrives and is rejected, a reset link that reports itself expired on first click, a password the app refuses to accept as new because it matches the one it just refused to accept as current.

The Spanish Reviews Say the Same Thing

Domino's Pizza USA is a US-only app, so a foreign-language pass is not obviously worth running. We ran one anyway, and it produced 21 substantive Spanish-language reviews, several from US locations including Miami Beach and San Jose. They describe the deals cluster independently:

Spanish

CADA DIA PEOR... QUE UNA ACTUALIZACIÓN ELIMINE TUS PUNTOS DE RECOMPENZA YA ES BAJO PERO QUE AHORA TE DEN PUNTOS CADA 2 PEDIDOS FUE PEOR... DESILUCION COMPLETA Y TOTAL...

Two of those name exactly the two symptoms the English set names, an inability to see points and an inability to add an offer, in customers who are certainly not reading English-language app reviews. The third reports an update wiping a reward balance, which appears in the English set too.

The Prices Went Away

29 reviews are about pricing, and about a third of those describe something more specific than "too expensive". They report that item prices are no longer visible while browsing.

After a recent update, you are no longer told the price of an item until checkout, unless it is part of a deal. Although the app works fine otherwise, this decision is clearly an intentional way to get you to spend more money and I deeply disapprove of this lack of transparency.

The app works great, but they hide too many prices. The toppings/options never show the price, and it doesn't show the total price of the pizza until it's in the cart.

Can't browse the menu and it's prices without practically finishing an order after tracking my exact location. Who thought this was a good idea? When did the simple idea of a customer looking at a menu and checking prices and deals turn into a corporate stalking assault on privacy? You say your pizza is half off... prove it!

We are careful about this one. Domino's prices genuinely vary by store, so a menu cannot show a price before a store is selected, and that is a legitimate reason for some of what these reviewers hit. But the reviewers are describing something past that point: a store already chosen, toppings with no price shown next to them, and a total that only resolves in the cart. And one review describes a version of it that is not a design choice at all:

Stealing my money. When using a deal, the same deal price is shown at every step until checkout, but then the price increases. A bug that charges me more than the price of the pizza.

A price that holds steady through every screen and changes at the last one is the single most checkable claim in this article, and it is the one worth screenshotting if it happens to you.

What This Set Is Not About

53 reviews, 11.5% of the set, are about the pizza or the store rather than the app: a cold delivery, missing toppings, a driver who left food at the wrong door, a store that ran late. We did not count those in any cluster above. An app cannot be blamed for what happens in a kitchen.

That share is worth stating because it is normal. In our read of the Amazon shopping app 36.6% of complaints were about the retailer rather than the software, in the Best Buy set it was 13.1%, and in the LinkedIn set 6.8%. At 11.5%, Domino's sits in the middle, which means the other 88.5% is a fair description of the software.

One more exclusion. Several reviewers claim the errors are deliberate, engineered to make deals hard to redeem. We found no evidence for that and are not repeating it as a finding. Intermittent content-loading failures that spike at lunchtime look like capacity, not conspiracy. What the data does support is narrower: whatever the cause, the cost of the failure lands entirely on the customer, and nothing in the flow acknowledges it.

Step 1: Try the Website Before You Try Anything Else

61 reviews mention the website or ordering online, and a substantial number report the same order working there after failing in the app. This is the fastest test you can run and it also tells you something: if the website applies the deal and the app does not, the deal is fine and your account is fine, so nothing you do to your phone will help.

Step 2: If You See a Resource Error, Change the Store, Not the App

"One or more resources not found" and "having technical difficulties" appear most often when a store is being selected or loaded. Reviewers who work around it usually do it by picking a different nearby store and then switching back, which forces a fresh load. This is worth trying before a reinstall because it takes ten seconds. Note the related complaint in the set: several reviewers report the app locking them to a store that does not serve their address while a closer one exists, so the store selector is worth checking anyway.

Step 3: Reinstall Only Once, and Expect It to Come Back

One reviewer put this precisely: reinstalling fixes it once, then it breaks again. If a reinstall clears the error, you have learned that the problem is cached content rather than a broken install, which is useful, but you have not fixed anything. Clearing the app's cache from Android settings does the same job in less time and without signing you out, and being signed out is a real risk here given the state of the password reset flow described in 69 reviews.

Step 4: Screenshot the Reward Before You Try to Redeem It

This is the step that protects money. If you are holding a reward or coupon with an expiry date, screenshot it showing the reward, the expiry and the error message when redemption fails. Reviewers who lost rewards describe having nothing to show afterward, because a failed redemption leaves no trace in the account. A dated screenshot converts "your reward expired" into "your app refused this reward on these dates", which is the only version of that conversation that goes anywhere.

Step 5: If You Have to Call the Store, Ask About the Deal First

If the app will not complete the order, call, but ask before you order whether the store can honor the app deal on a phone order. Some can apply an equivalent in-store offer. 30 reviewers in our set called the store after an app failure, and 12 of them report discovering only afterward that they had given up both the discount and the points. Asking first costs nothing and is the difference between a workaround and a loss.

The Short Version

Domino's app ratings, 4.59 on Google Play and 4.78 on the App Store, are lifetime averages built since 2012 and tell you nothing about this summer. The recent reviews are specific and they point in one direction.

In 462 recent 1-3 star reviews from June to August 2026, 31.8% are about deals, points and rewards, 22.9% name an update or redesign as the cause, and 23 quote a reproducible error string, most often "one or more resources not found" or "your deals are still baking". The complaints cluster on build 13.6.0 from mid-June and continue through four subsequent releases. 30 reviewers gave up and called the store, and 12 of them lost the discount and the loyalty points by doing so. The same two symptoms appear independently in Spanish-language reviews from US customers.

The chain is what makes this worth writing down. An app-exclusive deal, a content error that blocks redemption, a one-week expiry, and a support path slower than the expiry. Any one of those is survivable. Together they are a loyalty program that quietly does not pay out.

You can check the live rating, the current review flow and the complaint breakdown for each version here: Domino's on Google Play and Domino's on the App Store. If you are wondering whether an account or charge problem is a scam or a system failure, our trust check walks through what the rating data does and does not support, and the alternatives page lists apps in the same category with fewer complaints per rating.
