AT&T App Won't Show Your Bill? 334 Reviews (2026)
AT&T rebuilt its app around an AI assistant, and Android sign-ins have looped since 20 July. We read 334 recent 1-3 star reviews from both stores to see what changed.
If you signed into the AT&T app, got past the PIN, and still cannot find your bill, you did not miss a menu. The redesigned app puts an assistant called Andi at the centre of the home screen, and reviewers across both stores describe account details that used to be on that screen as something you now have to ask for.
If instead the app never gets past a spinning circle at sign-in, that is a separate and more recent problem. It is Android only, every review reporting it is on version 2026.6.2, and the first one landed on 20 July 2026.
On 6 August 2026 we pulled the 500 newest US reviews from both stores. On Google Play, 371 of 500 were rated 1-3 stars, 318 of them one star, and 114 were long enough to categorise, spanning 20 July to 5 August 2026. On the App Store, 362 of 500 were 1-3 stars, 307 of them one star, and 220 were long enough to categorise, almost all of them on the current build. That is 334 categorised complaints across the two platforms.
| Google Play | App Store | |
|---|---|---|
| Rating | 4.53 | 4.79 |
| Ratings | 421,976 | 212,357 |
| Installs | 100,000,000+ | not published |
| Version scanned | 2026.6.2 | 2026.6.2 |
Read those averages first. AT&T is one of the highest rated carrier apps in either store, and the app is preinstalled on a large share of those 100 million Android devices, which lifts the rating pool with people who never chose it. Nothing below says the app is broken for everyone. It says a redesign landed, and the people it landed on are the ones writing this fortnight.
Sign In, Then Ask a Robot Where Your Bill Is
63 of the 334 reviews (18.9%) mention the AI assistant, and the split by platform is stark: 54 of 220 App Store reviews (24.5%) against 9 of 114 on Android (7.9%). Fourteen name Andi directly. The complaint is not that an assistant exists. It is that account information stopped being visible on its own.
who decided that someone logging into their account doesn't want to see their account information? I don't want your stupid AI. I want to see my account!
the new app is not user friendly and is solely AI , with no actual information to be shown you have to ask for it all, I will take down my comment when it fixed and I can actually see my bill on time & dont have to request it
No account information given. Only Andi, worthless AI agent.
New app update took out the easy to use features and now forces you to interact with an ai chatbot. I haven't seen an app go downhill this fast before.
The most complete description of the change comes from an iOS reviewer who went looking, methodically, and found nothing:
i signed in. i verified with my pin. and yet, there is absolutely nothing in this app having to do with my bill or my service. there are no options for “managing my AT&T accounts.” i have three lines on my account, but i cannot look at my usage. i cannot pay my bill. i cannot see my bill. i cannot even see my plan details. why did you do this?
And another who did what the design intends, and still could not pay:
new update (at least on the Apple phones) is so bad you can’t even find billing on it. I’m going on to try to pay my bill and I had to ask for assistance from the AI assistant. I looked everywhere. No billing, manage billing, nothing anywhere. I went into settings, which was a pain to get to as well. Whoev
Where the Assistant Sends You
Two reviewers describe what happens after you ask, and both end up somewhere other than the app.
I do not like that I need to constantly ask ai for where to find this or that. And even after I have found the thing I am looking for with ai, the information links to the feature inside the AT&T website on my browser.
I asked it where my att mobile phone bill is at and it got stuck in a loop unable to direct me anywhere. Used to log into ATT business and my bill, lines, and usage any anything else important was right there at the home page.
An assistant that answers a navigation question with a link to the website is a strong signal about where the account tooling now lives. It also explains the single most repeated piece of advice in the Android reviews, which is to skip the app and use a browser.
The Sign-In Circle on Android
14 of the 114 Android reviews (12.3%) describe a sign-in that never completes: you tap the button, the circle spins, nothing loads. Every one of the 14 is on version 2026.6.2, the build that was current when we sampled, and they are spread evenly across the whole window rather than clustered on one bad day.
| Date (2026) | Reviews reporting the sign-in loop |
|---|---|
| 20 July | 1 |
| 21 July | 1 |
| 24 July | 1 |
| 25 July | 1 |
| 26 July | 1 |
| 27 July | 2 |
| 28 July | 2 |
| 31 July | 1 |
| 2 August | 1 |
| 3 August | 1 |
| 5 August | 2 |
Seventeen days, still arriving on the last day of the sample.
I tap the sign in button and all I get is a blank screen with a spinning circle. I have done the force stop, cleared the cache, deleted the data, uninstalled/reinstalled and restarted the phone. This app doesn't work.
For the past few weeks- likely since the latest update- the app won't log in or display any of my account information. I can log in to the website no problem, but when I try with the app it just stays on the loading screen, wheel spinning and nothing happening.
Not to sure what update they did but the app has been busted for a week now. Can't login anymore as it just has an infinite loading screen (blue circle spinning). Before it worked just fine
my app always keeps me logged in till a few days ago and the app mysteriously logged me out. I did the update to the app but it will not log me back into the app. all it does is do a continuous loading circle.
One review rules out the two explanations you would reach for first, an outdated build and a platform-wide outage:
stopped working & no update available. website works and the apple app works but on my s26 ultra it signed me out & won't let me back in just keeps spinning as if loading. I un-installed & re-installed, nothing. Force checked for update & nothing available. Restarted my phone, NOTHING.
The website works. The iOS app works. There is no update to install. That combination is why the standard advice fails here, and it is worth knowing before you spend an evening clearing caches.
What People Tried
Across the 14 reviews, the same remedies come up and none of them stick: force stop, clear cache, clear data, uninstall and reinstall, restart the phone, check for an update. The only thing that consistently worked was leaving the app:
att app has been stuck on loop wont login having to use web browser and I have done all the troubleshooting.
App no longer works. Won't let me sign in, just a spinning circle. Tried clearing cache and data, didn't work. Guess you don't want me to pay my bill!
For anyone locked out at the wrong end of a billing cycle, that is the practical answer: sign in on the AT&T website in a browser, where the same credentials work, and pay there.
The App Disagrees With Itself
A smaller cluster is the most interesting one, because it is not about a missing screen but about two screens giving different answers.
Different parts of the app give conflicting information. The services tab can show there’s an outage, but the troubleshooting in the home tab will show no outage and all clear. Seems like a significant bug to me.
one day it says I have 10gb hotspot and another day it will has I have 100gb. My plan has 10 gb and I never even come close to using that, but still even a little consistency would be an improvement.
No longer able to find cellular date usage; it should be front and center when you select “wireless”.. cannot find where the software guru-geniuses buried it
A carrier app is a reporting tool. When the outage indicator and the troubleshooter disagree, the report is worth less than the phone call it was meant to replace.
It Is Also Slow
38 reviews (11.4%) describe the app as slow, and this is the one complaint that lands identically on both platforms: 11.4% of Android reviews and 11.4% of iOS reviews.
I’m not sure what happened but for a few months this app is SUPER slow. Like unusable slow!!! Loading takes FOVER, even in really good WiFi. Likewise the website is also slow but better than the app.
Doesn’t work, extremely slow, reacts 5-10 seconds after pressing g a button if at all, doesn’t show my account information.
Feels scientifically designed to be as obtuse to use as possible. Simple settings are buried 5 to 6 menus deep. Accessing account settings is a nightmare of unintuitive layouts.
Trying to Reach a Human
55 reviews (16.5%) mention support, and on iOS the assistant and the support queue are described as the same wall.
Whether it’s live voice agent or chat agent, waiting for over 15 minutes is not acceptable. I know that’s not a direct app review, but I can click chat on the app, it better be responsive - and it’s not! I’m a long time AT&T customer with multiple lines on my account! Ever since you went AI, customer service began to SUCK!!!
AI Andi was no help. Andi told me to go ask Andi for help. I had to remind them they were in fact Andi. What a waste of time!
We found the identical shape in the FedEx app this week: the automated layer is where things break, and the automated layer is also the only channel for reporting that they broke.
What We Did Not Count
61 reviews (18.3%) are complaints about AT&T the carrier, not the app: prices that did not match what a salesperson promised, coverage, activation fees, store staff, collections. Several are serious and some involve real money, but a bill you disagree with is not an app defect, and none of them are counted in the clusters above.
We also left the redesign itself out of the defect count. Moving account tasks behind an assistant is a product decision, not a bug. The narrow claim this article makes is smaller and better supported: after that decision, a large share of recent writers cannot find the bill they came to pay, and on Android a build shipped in the same window that will not let some of them sign in at all.
The Same Two Complaints in Spanish
The Spanish language reviews on the US storefront track the Android half of this exactly, including the browser workaround.
The third one dates the break the same way the English reviews do: it worked perfectly until an update about two weeks before it was written.
The Short Version
Two things happened to the AT&T app at the end of July 2026, and they compound. The redesign moved account details behind an assistant, so signing in successfully no longer means seeing your bill. On Android, version 2026.6.2 stopped some people from signing in at all, and the usual repairs do not touch it because there is no newer build to install.
Both have the same escape hatch, and it is the one reviewers keep finding on their own: use the website in a browser. The credentials are the same, the bill is on the page rather than behind a chat prompt, and it does not spin.
