From 25 to 29 September, 12.8% of negative reviews were about a new navigation voice, and 21 reviewers say switching back to the old voice means losing spoken street names. Here is what they tried.

We read 6,825 substantial negative reviews out of a 40,000 review pull covering 5 February to 16 September 2026. 48 say the same thing: the app is set to open in satellite view and opens in the default map instead. Across February to June, 4,421 substantial negatives contain none of them.
