We read 1,788 substantial negative US reviews from a continuous 45 day run, and 94 of them hit the same wall: an app installed from Google Play telling them to use the official X app. 16 mention a reinstall, and 8 of those reinstalled to fix a different bug. Plus 42 more reviews across 15 storefronts in their own languages.
Facebook holds 4.56 stars on Google Play from 186 million ratings. We read 3,231 substantial negative US reviews from a continuous 26 day run, and 930 of them describe an account disabled, suspended or locked. 94.3% gave one star, the angriest theme in the corpus. 79 people filed their appeal in the review box itself. Plus 18 more storefronts in their own languages.
Telegram holds 3.82 stars on Google Play and 4.01 on the App Store, both low for an app with a billion installs. We read 4,379 substantial negative US reviews from a continuous run between 21 April and 16 September 2026. 222 describe a hacked account, and 49 of them describe one mechanism: the attacker attaches their own email, so every login code goes there. A separate 116 reviews say Telegram asked them to buy Premium before it would send a code by SMS.
The Xbox app holds 4.54 stars from 2,313,199 Google Play ratings. We read 1,065 substantial negative reviews from a 174 day window and hand-verified 367 that describe being signed out and unable to sign back in, with the button doing nothing. The share went from 9.0% in May 2026 to 57.9% in July, and 10 reviewers name the same time zone workaround.

Of those, 125 never reach a coupon at all: they are about being signed out, locked out, or stuck at a verification screen that will not complete.
My Verizon holds 4.55 stars from 1,296,179 Google Play ratings. We read 475 negative reviews from four months: 113 are about not getting into the app at all, the blank screen half is shrinking while the sign-in half has not moved, and 27 were trying to pay a bill.
Workday holds 4.21 stars from 264,210 Google Play ratings. We read 528 negative reviews from five months: 225 are about signing in, and one build carries 28.6 percent of the reviews describing the app hanging after the password goes in.
Ford holds 4.69 stars from 438,921 Google Play ratings. We read 650 substantial negative reviews from six months: 73 describe a sign-in loop, 62 of those landed in July 2026 on app versions 6.16 and 6.17, and a separate 93 describe commands to the car failing all year.
Steam's mobile app holds 3.11 stars on Google Play and 2.64 on the App Store. We read 887 substantial negative reviews spanning six months and hand-verified the 45 describing the same circle: the app asks for a code that only the app you cannot open can produce.
PayPal holds 4.24 stars from 3,716,994 Google Play ratings, and 476,685 of them are one star. We read 687 substantial negative reviews and hand-verified the 71 describing a limited account: 23 had just submitted identity documents, 37 call the limitation permanent, and 18 say money was still inside.
Match holds 3.24 stars on Google Play from 153,212 ratings, and 30.3 percent of them are one star. We read 1,679 negative reviews and hand-sorted the 124 describing a ban: 74 landed before the app was meaningfully used, 31 came after the reviewer had already paid, and 60 say no reason was given.
Chick-fil-A holds 4.54 stars on Google Play from 210,527 ratings. We read 923 negative reviews: 45 name a VPN or privacy-browser error at sign-in, and 25 of those say they were not using a VPN.
