From 23 September, 109 reviewers say they are adults put in the teen group or locked out, 21 are adult on desktop but blocked on mobile, and 29 found no way to verify in the app.
Yahoo Mail holds 4.15 stars from 8,830,607 Google Play ratings. We read all 264 reviews that mention streaks in 14,100 US reviews from March to September 2026. The feature first appears on 5 May, grew from 0% to 6.2% of negative reviews by August, and 32 reviewers say they found no way to switch it off.
Chipotle holds 4.72 stars from 557,026 Google Play ratings. We read 249 reviews about wrong stores and cancelling across 551 days and hand-verified 150 about orders sent to the wrong location. The app has no cancel button, 25 reviewers say it reused their last store, and 16 describe being told to place and pay for a second order before the first one is refunded.
Spark Driver holds 4.07 stars from 179,612 Google Play ratings. We read 4,615 substantial negative reviews from a continuous 553 day run and hand-verified 131 about the item scanner failing on shopping orders. After seven months under 1.1%, it took 14.7% of all complaints in May 2026, builds 4.40.0 and 4.40.1 carry about a fifth of their own complaints on it, and a July fix was followed by a new freeze with a technical issue prompt.

Netflix holds 4.41 stars from 16,109,794 Google Play ratings. We read 2,186 substantial negative reviews from a continuous 103 day run and hand-verified 103 about casting. In the week of 7 September they were 25.0% of every complaint Netflix received, and one build carries 41.4% of its own complaints on this subject alone. Four reviewers report the button came back, and Dutch, Swedish and Czech reviewers date an earlier device cutoff to the first days of December 2025.
Roblox holds 4.21 stars from 52,406,396 Google Play ratings. We read 4,172 substantial negative reviews from a continuous 31 day run and hand-verified 424 about the age check, roughly one complaint in ten. 25 reviewers give both their real age and the band the face scan assigned them: 19 were aged down, 6 were aged up, and two of those six are nine year olds put into adult bands. 86 lost contact with a named friend or sibling.
X holds 4.80 stars on Google Play from 24.3 million ratings and 4.58 on the App Store. We read 1,788 substantial negative US reviews from a continuous 45 day run, and 94 of them hit the same wall: an app installed from Google Play telling them to use the official X app. 16 mention a reinstall, and 8 of those reinstalled to fix a different bug. Spotify holds 4.35 stars on Google Play from 36.3 million ratings and 4.77 on the App Store. We read 3,486 substantial negative US reviews from a continuous 43 day run, and 180 of them say they cannot choose which song plays. 22 name a skip limit and 21 of them say six. 11 name the limit on picking songs, and they give nine different answers. We read 3,231 substantial negative US reviews from a continuous 26 day run, and 930 of them describe an account disabled, suspended or locked. 94.3% gave one star, the angriest theme in the corpus. 79 people filed their appeal in the review box itself. Uber holds 4.74 stars on Google Play from 19.8 million ratings. We read 5,918 substantial negative US reviews from a continuous 93 day run, and 246 of them describe being charged a cancellation fee. 171 name something the driver did as the reason the ride ended. More than one in four substantial negative Prime Video reviews is about paying and being advertised to anyway. We read 3,898 of them across 164 days, sized the ad-free tier that still shows ads, and found the same sentence in German, Turkish, Italian and Dutch.
Telegram holds 3.82 stars on Google Play and 4.01 on the App Store, both low for an app with a billion installs. We read 4,379 substantial negative US reviews from a continuous run between 21 April and 16 September 2026. 222 describe a hacked account, and 49 of them describe one mechanism: the attacker attaches their own email, so every login code goes there. A separate 116 reviews say Telegram asked them to buy Premium before it would send a code by SMS.
Google Maps holds 3.23 stars on Google Play, and 46.4% of every rating the store has collected is 1 to 3 stars. We read 6,825 substantial negative reviews out of a 40,000 review pull covering 5 February to 16 September 2026. 48 say the same thing: the app is set to open in satellite view and opens in the default map instead. Across February to June, 4,421 substantial negatives contain none of them.
CapCut holds 3.57 stars from 13,018,036 Google Play ratings, and 38.4% of every rating it has ever collected is 1 to 3 stars. We read 2,881 substantial negative reviews from a continuous 56 day window and 900 of them name Pro, premium, a paywall or a subscription. 70 describe an export that was refused at the last step, and the share has not moved in three months.
Pinterest gives you a setting for AI content. We read 2,076 substantial negative Google Play reviews from a continuous 82 day window, found 465 about AI in the feed, and hand-read the 85 that mention the setting. 63 survived: 47 say the control is on and the content still arrives, 11 say there is no control, 5 say the new AI tips feature has no opt-out.

We read 6,629 substantial negative reviews spanning 201 days and hand-verified 963 that describe the mobile website blocking them until they install the app. Before 24 April 2026 there was 1 such review in 1,494. After it, 962 in 5,135, and 31 people say they installed the app only to leave the 1-star review.
The Xbox app holds 4.54 stars from 2,313,199 Google Play ratings. We read 1,065 substantial negative reviews from a 174 day window and hand-verified 367 that describe being signed out and unable to sign back in, with the button doing nothing. The share went from 9.0% in May 2026 to 57.9% in July, and 10 reviewers name the same time zone workaround.
eBay holds 4.54 stars from 5,018,756 Google Play ratings. We read 4,163 substantial negative reviews from a 211 day window and hand-verified 57 that describe the app forcing AI into the seller listing flow. The share rose every month we measured, from 0.60% in February 2026 to 6.11% in the first twelve days of September, and 24 of the 57 ask for an off switch.
Rocket Money holds 4.53 stars from 138,845 Google Play ratings. We read 765 substantial negative reviews from a 282 day window and hand-verified 150 about connecting a bank, 19.6% of every real complaint. The largest group, 48 reviews, describes the same loop: the bank confirms the link, and the app asks for it again.
ESPN holds 4.40 stars from 1,209,731 Google Play ratings. We read 1,591 substantial negative reviews from the last twelve months. 476 of them mention money, and 107 describe paying for ESPN and still not being able to watch: sign-ins that will not stick, subscriptions the app does not recognise, and blackouts nobody mentioned at checkout.

We read 496 substantial negative reviews from a 12 month window. 147 mention a refund and 79 describe being refused or paid in Groupon Bucks, and the reason given is rarely the merchant: it is the three day window or a voucher already marked redeemed.

Everand holds 3.52 stars from 614,520 Google Play ratings. We read 1,658 substantial negative reviews spanning 866 days. Before November 2024, 3 of 177 mentioned unlocks or credits. After it, 481 of 1,481 did, and monthly complaint volume went from 29 to 110.

HBO Max holds 4.78 stars from 5,715,537 Google Play ratings. We read 342 substantial negative reviews from ten weeks and hand-verified 77 about advertising, 22.5% of every real complaint. Sixteen say they pay for an ad-free plan and still see ads, seventeen say the ad break breaks the video, and the same rate shows up in fifteen other countries.

Twenty-eight of them name both a dollar figure and a distance: across the 33 offers they describe, the median works out to 42 cents a mile, and 29 of the 33 fall under a dollar.
