StubHub Tickets Not Delivered: 93 Buyer Reports (2026)
StubHub holds 4.32 stars from 96,973 Google Play ratings. We read the 585 substantial negative reviews written in 2026: 93 describe tickets that never arrived or arrived at the last minute, 57 of those buyers found out with less than a day to spare, and 30 missed the event.
If you bought tickets on StubHub and the day of the event is getting close with nothing in your account, the reviews say you are not doing anything wrong and you are not alone. In the 2026 Google Play reviews we read, 93 buyers describe the same thing, and most of them found out with less than a day to spare.
StubHub holds 4.32 stars from 96,973 Google Play ratings on 10 million plus installs, with 12,491 of those ratings at one star. On iOS the same app holds 4.77 from 1,406,146 ratings. That gap is the first thing worth noticing: the Android store is where the complaints are concentrated, and it is the store this article reads.
Quick Answer: Why Have My StubHub Tickets Not Arrived?
Because the seller has until shortly before the event to hand them over, and nothing in the app tells you that up front. Reviewers describe buying weeks or months ahead, watching an order sit in "pending" or "tickets on the way", and being told by support to wait until a few hours before doors open. When the transfer then fails, there is no time left to fix it.
The second half of the pattern is the hand-off. StubHub is a resale marketplace, so the ticket usually has to travel through the venue's own platform: Ticketmaster, AXS, the team app, or a tournament app. Every extra account in that chain is another place the transfer can stall.
We cannot see StubHub's systems, so treat any mechanism as inference. What is measurable is how many buyers report each outcome, when they noticed, and what happened to their money.
What We Read
We pulled the 3,000 most recent Google Play reviews from the US storefront and kept the 1,381 rated 1 to 3 stars with enough text to read as a report. They run from 5 May 2024 to 21 August 2026. We then repeated the pull across 18 other storefronts in 14 languages. After removing duplicates the combined corpus is 3,442 unique reviews, 2,686 of them negative, and 1,450 long enough to categorise.
The detailed work below is on the 585 substantial negative reviews written in 2026, because ticket delivery in 2026 is the question people are actually asking.
One honesty note that applies to every review corpus: stores return reviews newest first, so raw monthly counts measure the collection window and not anger. Where we compare across time, we use shares of that period's complaints, never raw counts.
106 Candidates, 93 Real Ones
We searched the 585 for any mention of tickets not arriving, not transferring, or not being accessible, which returned 106 candidates. Then we read every one.
| What the review actually described | Reviews |
|---|---|
| Buyer never got usable tickets in time | 83 |
| Buyer got them, but at the last minute | 10 |
| Seller side problem (could not list or transfer a sale) | 8 |
| Off topic (wrong seats, event cancelled, password trouble) | 5 |
So 93 of the 106 are buyer side delivery failures, and the keyword net was wrong about 12 percent of the time. Of those 93, 82 are one star, five are two stars and six are three stars.
The core description barely varies.
Tickets never delivered, little communication with no other option but to request a refund. This has now happened several times, I will no longer use this service for ticketing.
Absolute nightmare! No tickets and out the money paid for no tickets. Worse the customer service who said they would escalate the issue never communicated back with any resolution.
zero recommended. I never received my tickets. They kept saying I would receive them the same day but never did. They literally stole my money with lies.
Tickets were never delivered. I bought the tickets 5 days before the game. Money was taken out of my PayPal account right away, but the tickets were never delivered. There was a promise and a "guarantee" that never materialized.
57 of 93 Found Out With Less Than a Day Left
This is the finding that changes what you should do. We counted a review only when it named a concrete time marker: "the day of", "three hours before", "at the gate", "we had already driven there". Fifty-seven of the 93 qualify. The rest either did not say, or noticed earlier in the week.
The timing is not an accident of bad luck. Several reviewers report being told the transfer window itself runs to the wire.
I bought a resale ticket the day before the concert. After paying for it, I'm told that they have before 5pm day of the show to transfer it to me & the show started at 7pm (no opener). I live almost 2 hours away from the venue and was meeting friends that had tickets already.
never received ticket for concert and they saying I have to wait until 2 hours before the show before I will know if I am going attend because the person never transferred the ticket
tickets never were released. I anticipatef them otherwise I would have bought prior somewhere else. So I went over to seat geek and purchased some while waiting at the counter to get in which we couldn't get in early because StubHub said that they might be released up until 1 minute before start of game
ok if you buy a ticket from stubhub it says you have to wait to get the ticket.and that it may not arrive till the day of the show. First off, you know how anxiety inducing that is to not know.If you're gonna get your ticket.
three hours before the show and we didn't have our tickets yet. it's a long drive and there's no free parking, but the only options I'm given are a refund or worse seats without a partial refund.
Ten buyers in our set did eventually get tickets, and their reviews are the same story with a happier last sentence. The margins they describe are minutes.
I purchased 4 World Cup tickets 2 yrs ago from StubHub but didn't receive the tickets until 3 minutes before the game. they were supposed to be transferred by June 7. I think they missed the mark on this one.
The whole thing was a bit of a nightmare. I bought tickets on StubHub, but the link sent me to Ticketmaster where they weren't there. I called StubHub, waited hours, and finally got a working link by email. That link then sent me to Live Nation, but still no tickets! So I called StubHub again.
did not get our tickets until 20 min before the game started everyone was already in the stadium as we were scared our tickets would not come on .. do not recommend buying from stub hub unless you want wait to the very last second to get your tickets
30 Say They Missed the Event
Of the 93, 30 state that they missed the event or most of it. Fourteen mention travel they had already paid for: drives of two to ten hours, flights, hotels.
I bought courtside seats to a game to take my daughter. we drove 10 hours to go watch. our tickets never transfered and didnt have any seats. totally ruined our trip
I tried to buy tickets, they accepted my money, asked me if I received them, I said no, they claimed to replace my tickets, the replacements never showed... my kids and I sat at the gate till the show started, and will never return to the venue, nor will we ever use this app again...
We missed the Jennifer Lopez concert at Caesars Palace on March 13th 2026 as we did not receive the tickets that we purchased on-line. I have contacted Stubhub many times through email and calls till the last minute before the show asking for the tickets, and still no tickets.
I purchased tickets to frozen four in Las Vegas, hotel and plane tickets to have to watch the game at a bar because I was scammed out of my tickets. The ticket office said they were under someone else's name. I was given a link to choose other seats but that did not work.
I paid $2000 for two World Cup ticket 6 months before the World Cup. Less than a day before the match they attempt to digitally transfer the tickets to me and fail. With hours to work on the problem, they can't fix it. I never got the tickets.
bought a ticket a week before the show it was a two night show. The ticket I bought for Wednesday was considerably cheaper than the one for Thursday. I believe that my ticket that I bought was sold out from under me to someone willing to pay more for it because I never got a transfer email or anything.
this is a scam. I bought tickets six months in advance and the tickets never got delivered. they refunded me, but I wasted travel time and missed the show. don't waste your time.
Not everyone missed the show. Some bought a second ticket at the box office or from a competitor while standing outside, which is its own kind of cost.
StubHub has an absolutely ridiculous system that can leave the customer stranded without tickets to the show they've paid for. I spent $1160 for 2 row 3 seats to see Bonnie Raitt & at the very last minute, after at least 1 1/2 hours with online & live agents, hearing promise after promise that my case had been escalated & we'll be fine NO TICKETS!! TG we scooped the last 2 seats at the box office - row 24 but at least we got to see Bonnie.
Do you wanna lose your money? then go ahead and use this stupid app. Me and my mom were going to a concert and wr paid for tickets on this app. We never got the tickets, because yeah, it was a scam.
The Hand-Off Chain: 15 Reviews Name a Second App
Fifteen of the 93 name another platform in the delivery path: Ticketmaster, AXS, a team app such as MLB, Live Nation, or a tournament app. In those reviews the money is on StubHub and the ticket is supposed to appear somewhere else, and neither side will own the failure.
We ordered tickets and parking to the Bowl and they have been unable to transfer the tickets to us. There is a blizzard of emails saying to get the Axs app, login to the Bowl site, then the AI agent said to download the Ticket master. We logged into all four systems and still no tickets.
Never got access to tickets and to initiate a retransfer said it would take a few hours which would have eaten into the concert. No immediate way to resolve things not working.
you took my money, then delegated the tickets to a second party vendor to email me my tickets. I had to upload 4 freaking apps. 10 emails later, I never got my darn tickets. Your system is horrible.
tickets purchased, never delivered to mlb account. customer service promises 24 hour turnaround but never follows through. Sat away from this website or app.
I've used Stubhub for over 11 years, they used to be a solid service. But they refused to issue a refund a or new tickets with an order where I didn't receive tickets that were supposed to be delivered to my Ticketmaster account.
If you already know your venue uses Ticketmaster or AXS, that is worth weighing before you buy anywhere else, because it is the step reviewers describe getting stuck in.
What Happened to the Money
We read all 93 for the refund outcome. This is where a marketplace guarantee is supposed to do its work.
| Outcome the reviewer describes | Reviews |
|---|---|
| Refund refused, or never arrived by the time they wrote | 24 |
| Refund confirmed received | 12 |
| Still waiting when they wrote | 3 |
| Had to go to their bank or card issuer | 2 |
| Did not say | 52 |
Two things about that table. First, a refund is not the same as being made whole, and the reviews say so: the tickets were the cheap part of the evening. Second, nine of the 93 mention FanProtect or the guarantee by name. Seven of them bring it up to say it did not help, one says it was honored in full, and one says they were braced to use it and did not have to.
They did not deliver my tickets in a timely manner. Bought baseball tickets in December and they didn't get delivered to me until 20 minutes before the game.
Do not trust you will recieve your order. Tickets weren’t accessible at the 8:30 PM start. After multiple calls, I had to resolve it at the box office and didn’t receive usable tickets until ~9:19 PM, missing most of the first quarter. StubHub denied a refund despite the delay.
I had the biggest scam experience with this app. I bought tickets for an event more than 5 days prior. I never received my tickets. I requested a refund 10 minutes before the event started since I never received them.
I am currently on a review for my tickets that I never received. I paid extra for insurance cause I was worried this would happen. They are saying I accepted the tickets and they aren't refunding me. I never received them.
I purchased two tickets to a comedy show. Despite claiming both tickets, only one ticket transferred. After contacting Customer Service, they advised me there was a "glitch" in the system.
Absolute garbage. I reached out five times about a missing ticket, but script-reading reps just wasted hours "escalating" it. Their FanProtect guarantee is a complete gimmick.
The FanProtect guarantee is a scam. They did nothing when a seller did not deliver my Final Four tickets. They are so worried about losing ticket inventory they allow sellers to scam customers.
And the counterexample, quoted on purpose, because it is the outcome the policy promises.
This was my first experience with SubHub. I never received my tickets for the ballgame and was not able to attend. StubHub does not control actual delivery of tickets.
One refund detail is worth flagging separately, because it changes what the money is worth: at least one reviewer was offered credit to a StubHub account rather than a card refund.
Abysmal Ticket Management. Tickets were not delivered as promised and I did not find out until <3 hrs before the event began. That was stressful as tickets were bought and plans were set months before. My wife was in her best dress. We were on our way.
The Share Is Growing, and It Is Not the App
Run the same keyword net across each year of the corpus and the delivery complaint keeps taking a bigger slice of everything people complain about.
| Year | Substantial negative reviews | Share mentioning delivery |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 (from May) | 268 | 12.3% |
| 2025 | 528 | 15.3% |
| 2026 (to 21 August) | 585 | 18.1% |
Now the control. We ran a second net over the same reviews for software failure: crashes, freezes, error screens, an app that will not load. That line goes 3.0 percent in 2024, 4.7 percent in 2025, 2.4 percent in 2026. People are not angry at the software.
A third net is the one most readers would expect to dominate, and it moves the other way. Mentions of fees, checkout pricing or hidden costs fall from 22.0 percent of 2024 complaints to 14.4 percent in 2025 and 6.0 percent in 2026. We can measure that the fee complaint shrank while the delivery complaint grew. We cannot tell you from reviews alone why, so we will not guess.
It Is Not Only the US Store
The other 18 storefronts contribute 80 substantial negative reviews going back to 2018, and reading them one by one, 34 describe the same non-delivery or last-minute delivery, in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German and English.
SpanishNunca recibí mis boletos a tiempo.
What Buyers Say Actually Helped
None of this is a fix, because the failure is not on your phone. It is a list of what the reviews suggest, and where reviewers say they lost time.
- Check the transfer path the day you buy, not the week of the event. If the order says the tickets come through Ticketmaster, AXS or a team app, make that account exist and work now, with the same email address you used on StubHub. Reviewers who discovered an account mismatch discovered it at the gate.
- Do not accept "wait and see" as an answer twice. In these reviews the escalation that worked came from people who pushed days before the event. The ones who waited got a support queue on the day itself.
- Screenshot everything, including the empty account. Multiple reviewers describe being told the tickets were accepted or delivered when their side showed nothing, and having no way to prove it.
- Ask specifically what happens if the transfer fails, and get the answer in writing. Refund to card and credit to a StubHub account are very different outcomes.
- If a refund is refused after a documented non-delivery, your card issuer is the next step. Two reviewers in our set went that route, and one says the bank dispute would have taken two months, which is worth knowing before you rely on it.
- Have a fallback plan for the event itself. Reviewers who came out of this least damaged are the ones who bought at the box office or a competitor while support was still typing.
What We Are Not Saying
We are not saying most StubHub orders fail. This corpus contains only negative reviews by construction, the app has millions of ratings, and the overwhelming majority of transactions never generate a review at all.
We are also not claiming a rate. We can count reports; we cannot count the buyers whose tickets arrived at the last minute and who simply went to the show and never wrote anything.
What the data does support is narrower and useful: when StubHub goes wrong, it goes wrong late, and the resolution window is measured in hours rather than days. That is the part worth planning around.
