My Verizon App Won't Load: 113 Reviews, 6 Faults (2026)
My Verizon holds 4.55 stars from 1,296,179 Google Play ratings. We read 475 negative reviews from four months: 113 are about not getting into the app at all, the blank screen half is shrinking while the sign-in half has not moved, and 27 were trying to pay a bill.
Your bill is due today. You open the My Verizon app, and the screen is white. Not an error, not a spinner, just white. You force close it, open it again, and this time it asks for your password. You type the one you set last month. It is wrong. You reset it, and the new one is rejected too, because it has been used before.
My Verizon holds 4.55 stars from 1,296,179 Google Play ratings, 75,894 of them at one star, on more than 100 million installs. The iOS version is rated 4.66 from 5,526,397 ratings, so the two stores are close and neither looks broken from the outside. The negative reviews are where the pattern lives, and the pattern is narrow: most of them are not about the network, the plan or the price. They are about not being able to get into the app at all.
Quick Answer: Why Won't the My Verizon App Open or Log In?
We read 475 substantial negative reviews from four months of the US Google Play store and categorised 113 of them. Six faults account for all 113, and five of the six happen before you are inside the app: a white screen on launch (28), being bounced back to the sign-in page (25), a password that is never accepted (19), a session that never sticks (11), and a verification wall (9). The sixth is the app crashing partway through a task (21). Twenty-seven of the 113 name a bill or a payment as the thing they were trying to do.
We cannot see your account, your device or Verizon's servers. Everything below is what reviewers describe. What is measurable is how often each description appears, whether it moves month to month, and whether it tracks a particular build.
What We Read
We pulled the 3,000 most recent Google Play reviews from the US storefront and kept the 475 rated 1 to 3 stars with enough text to categorise. They run from 29 April to 26 August 2026: 9 reviews in the last two days of April, then 108, 133, 114 and 111 through May, June, July and August. April and August are partial months, so we compare shares rather than counts.
A keyword net for anything about logging in, passwords, biometrics, blank screens, loading, freezing or crashing returned 124 candidates. We read all of them and dropped 11 that were about something else: coverage and hotspot speed, a billing dispute, a lost phone, a lock screen wallpaper, a Spanish language interface, cancelling a plan. That leaves 113 confirmed, each assigned to exactly one fault so the numbers add up instead of double counting.
We also pulled the newest reviews from 23 non-US storefronts. Eight of them returned exactly the same reviews as the US store, so those duplicates were removed. What is left is 992 unique non-US reviews and 22 substantial negatives, which is a small pile for a good reason: Verizon is a US carrier.
What the 113 Reviews Are About
| Fault | Reviews | Share of 113 | One star |
|---|---|---|---|
| White or blank screen on launch | 28 | 24.8% | 22 |
| Bounced back to the sign-in page | 25 | 22.1% | 23 |
| Crashes partway through a task | 21 | 18.6% | 17 |
| Password rejected or reset loop | 19 | 16.8% | 16 |
| Login never sticks | 11 | 9.7% | 11 |
| Verification wall | 9 | 8.0% | 7 |
Add the five access faults together and you get 92 of the 113, or 19.4% of every substantial negative review in the four months. One in five people who took the time to write a paragraph of complaint were writing about a door they could not get through.
1. The white screen
Twenty-eight reviews describe opening the app and getting nothing. Not a login form, not an error, a blank page. Twenty-two of them are one star.
this app has never opened since I loaded it, Just a white screen forever. no sign thats it is even loading! how the hell am I supposed to keep on top of my account if I can't even get into it.
Updated: still doesn't work. Open it and wait for a few minutes I'm staring at a white screen. No indication of activity. Website works, app does not. from 7/12/25 - Doesn't load any content.
This is probably the worst-running application I've ever used. Constantly says it cannot load and I need to retry until finally I'm in, then it goes to a blank white screen.
The detail that makes this one interesting is how many describe it as permanent rather than momentary. This is not a slow morning, it is weeks.
i am never able to login, ever, i open the app and met with a blank white screen, ive updated it, uninstalled it, nothing i just go through chrome to Verizons website.
I don't know why this is showing a 4.6 rating. Worst app ever! This app has become completely useless. Now it won't even open! All I get is a white screen. It used to work reasonably well, if a little slowly. I was able to pay my bill, look at my call logs, etc.
2. Bounced back to the sign-in page
The second group, at 25, is not about the app failing to open. It opens, it takes the credentials, and then it puts you back where you started, or it opens the home screen and refuses to go anywhere else. This is the group with the highest one star rate: 23 of 25.
The app never works. You click on your account and it takes you back to the login page and when you click on any of the applications, like adding a line, paying a bill, etc.
absolute garbage. wont login and if it does it's not really logging you in to anything, you can access the home screen (after 4-5 tries) and it shows you're logged in but every attempt at navigating through the menu takes you right back to the main page before it crashes to a white screen, real fun trying to check your balance or pay your bill.
was with VZW for 25 years before going to ATT switched back today and this app keeps returning me to the log in screen and will not advance.
One reviewer traced the loop to switching apps to fetch the emailed sign-in link, which is worth knowing because it is reproducible rather than random.
Absolute garbage login design. Trying to log in through the mobile email link fails every single time. It just dumps you back onto the login page in an endless loop because the app can't handle you switching over to your email inbox.
3. The password is never the password
Nineteen reviews describe the same cycle: the saved password is refused, the reset is refused, and the replacement is refused because it resembles an old one. Several describe doing this every single month.
"Your password isn't correct" I change my password "Your password is incorrect" I log into the website successfully... "Your password is incorrcet" ...This worthless app...
Every month I go to make a payment. And every month my password is apparently no longer in my memory, and yet whenever I try to change my password to what I believe it should be but didn't work, you claim that it's been used.
This app is maddening. It doesn't allow me to login. EVER. I write down the username and password each time I get the energy to deal with it and each time, it doesn't recognize the information and I do the same Forgot your password dance.
Two reviewers report the temporary password never arriving at all, and one describes a reset code sent by post.
When you can't remember your password the app claims that they will send a temporary password & it is NEVER sent. Can never access this app.
Login process is unnecessarily complicated. Why does it need to reset my password through US mail.
4. The login never sticks
Eleven reviews are about the session rather than the credentials. Save your login, tick the box, enable biometrics, and it forgets anyway. All 11 are one star.
So slow and glitchy. Terrible UI. Now biometric sign in doesn't work. After you enable it, it works once then stops working.
First, at the sign in screen, they ask if you want to save your login information. You click yes, and it totally ignores this and doesn't remember anything next time. Also no ability to sign in with a fingerprint like most modern apps do.
Constantly logging me out of the app despite fingertip setup, then requiring password reset for the upteenth time.
5. The verification wall
Nine reviews describe security checks that cannot be completed. The most striking version is circular: the code is sent by text, and the reason you are in the app is that you have no working SIM to receive a text.
viscios cycle im stuck in, lost sim card, cant sign into my verizon account because they send a text to verify but without a sim, no text. and talking to a live person, cant do umtil i sign in.What tewards? I want tewards too!
The process to login and verify is the most frustrating I've experienced. It will never trust your device, no matter how many times you tell it to.
I can no longer sign in. I input my email and my password, it has me put in a code that it sends to my phone so I entered that and then it has me click on a verification link on my email so I click on that and it says it's verified and then the app never lets me in and leads me in a circle and I have to start all over again. insane.
6. Crashes partway through a task
The remaining 21 got in and then lost the app mid task, most often at the point of paying or claiming something.
the app is never working properly. trying to do a checkout one time over that app and it took almost 2hrs due to the app crashing every few minutes. Now I'm trying to make a payment and its doing the same.
This App is TERRIBLE. I can't simply make a phone payment without the whole screen freezing and nothing happening. It takes forever to load anything and the Interface is awful.
What People Were Trying to Do
Twenty-seven of the 113 name a bill or a payment as the task the app blocked. Our keyword pattern returns 32; reading them, five are mentioning their bill in passing rather than describing a payment they were trying to make, so the honest number is 27.
That is the part with a price attached. One reviewer says the alternative to the app carries a fee.
Too buggy. I used to like this app. Now when trying to use bill pay feature, the app crashes. Have to call and pay by phone and they want a convenience fee of $7.50 to do so! No you're going to wave that fee!
Fix your app! I haven't been able to make a simple bill payment in over a month! When I try it just goes to a blank screen. Then you try to charge me a fee if I call to make a payment!
We are not presenting those as a fee schedule. They are two reviewers describing what they were told, in different months.
Twelve of the 113 mention moving to another carrier in the same review. That is not a churn forecast, it is a measure of how the app is landing.
Is It Getting Better?
Partly. The blank screen group is shrinking. The login groups are not.
| Month | Confirmed | Share of that month's negatives | Blank screen |
|---|---|---|---|
| May 2026 | 36 of 108 | 33.3% | 11 |
| Jun 2026 | 25 of 133 | 18.8% | 7 |
| Jul 2026 | 30 of 114 | 26.3% | 6 |
| Aug 2026 | 20 of 111 | 18.0% | 4 |
As a share of each month's substantial negatives, the blank screen falls from 10.2% in May to 5.3%, 5.3% and 3.6%. The four login faults together move from 18.5% to 9.8%, 14.0% and 11.7%, which is a wobble rather than a trend.
The build axis says the same thing more sharply. Reviews carry the version the writer had installed, so the numbers below are the share of each build's substantial negatives that were about access or stability.
| Build | Confirmed of that build's negatives | Share |
|---|---|---|
| 21.7.4 | 32 of 93 | 34.4% |
| 21.8.4 | 11 of 45 | 24.4% |
| 21.9.6 | 33 of 142 | 23.2% |
| 22.0.4 | 22 of 103 | 21.4% |
21.7.4 is the worst build in the window by a clear margin, and it is the build that dominates May. Since then the rate has come down and then flattened. The white screen is being fixed. The sign-in page is not.
The Browser Is the Escape Hatch, Until It Is Not
Ten of the 113 explicitly say the Verizon website works when the app does not, which matters for diagnosis: if the account signs in fine in a browser, the account is not locked.
This app has been broken for the longest time. Can't log in because "connection issues" I don't even have. I can use the internet just fine on my mobile device.
This app is completely trash. It never works and keeps crashing. How do you expect your customers to pay their bills if they can't even use your app to do so? They have to use the website every time.
Three say the opposite, that the browser fails in the same way, and we are counting those too rather than quietly leaving them out.
100% Hot Garbage. "please wait a moment......." and three hours later the thing is still spinning. It's Verizon all over, the web site is the same way, just times out.
trying to log into the app is terrible, and I can't even log in online using the same credentials.
What Reviewers Tried
Nine of the 113 report uninstalling and reinstalling, and two report clearing the cache and app data. Almost none report it working for more than one session. The most common phrasing is that the reinstall buys a single successful login.
every time I install this I have to uninstall it in order for it to work and then when I get out of the app I try to go back in and it's just a white page doesn't load
This app sucks, it updated and since then has just been a white blank screen anytime I open it. I have to keep deleting the app and installing it to get it to work once.. if I am lucky.
That is the honest state of the corpus: in 113 reviews there is no repeatable fix from the phone side. The browser is the only escape route that more than one person confirms.
Step 1: Confirm the Account, Not the App
Sign in to the Verizon website in a phone or desktop browser. If that works, your credentials and account are fine and the problem is the app, which is what ten reviewers describe. If the browser fails the same way, it is an account or verification problem and the app was never going to fix it.
Step 2: Pay Through the Browser If the Bill Is Due Today
Twenty-seven reviewers were locked out mid payment, and one reports being quoted a $7.50 convenience fee for paying by phone instead. If the deadline is today, the browser session from Step 1 is the cheapest route.
Step 3: Force Stop, Then Clear Cache Only
Two reviewers cleared cache and data. Clearing data signs you out and pushes you back into the password loop that 19 reviewers describe, so try force stop and cache first, and keep clearing data as a last resort.
Step 4: Reinstall Once, and Expect One Session
Nine reviewers reinstalled. Several say the fresh install works exactly once and then returns to a white page. Treat a reinstall as a way to get one task done, not as a fix.
Step 5: Do the Reset From a Desktop, Not the Email Link
The most reproducible loop in the corpus is the one where opening the emailed sign-in link switches apps and dumps you back at the login screen. Completing a reset in a desktop browser and then signing in to the app avoids that hand off.
Outside the US
Twenty-two substantial negatives across the non-US storefronts is not enough to build a table from, so we will not pretend otherwise. What they are useful for is age. The same two complaints appear in them going back years, which is the strongest argument that this is a long running weakness rather than a 2026 regression.
A 2022 review from the same set describes an account that could not be created at all, with the same generic error text that US reviewers were quoting this summer.
RussianПри открытии приложения запускает Create Profile. При любых вариантах заполнения пишет: We experienced an error while processing your request. Please try again later.
What This Adds Up To
The My Verizon app is not badly rated. It sits at 4.55 on Google Play and 4.66 on the App Store, and the vast majority of its ratings are five stars. But among people who write a real complaint, one in five is writing about a door: a white screen, a rejected password, a sign-in page that will not let go. The white screen half of that has measurably improved since the 21.7.4 build. The sign-in half has not moved in four months.
If you are stuck right now, the browser is the answer the corpus keeps giving. If you are stuck every month, you are not doing anything wrong: 19 other people wrote the same paragraph about the same password.
