We read 4,172 substantial negative reviews from a continuous 31 day run and hand-verified 424 about the age check, roughly one complaint in ten. 25 reviewers give both their real age and the band the face scan assigned them: 19 were aged down, 6 were aged up, and two of those six are nine year olds put into adult bands. 86 lost contact with a named friend or sibling.
X holds 4.80 stars on Google Play from 24.3 million ratings and 4.58 on the App Store. We read 1,788 substantial negative US reviews from a continuous 45 day run, and 94 of them hit the same wall: an app installed from Google Play telling them to use the official X app. 16 mention a reinstall, and 8 of those reinstalled to fix a different bug.
